I am a mechanic. I have chronically dry skin on my hands due to frequent washing, chemical exposure, and of course the rough nature of the job I perform. It gets particularly bad during the winter months.I get “splits” in the skin of my fingertips all the time, and they are excruciating as I work. These breaks in the skin are tiny and usually right at the edge of the fingernail. They are excruciating, and I HAVE to work with my fingers….so for years I have remedied the “splits” by using superglue and sometimes fingertip bandages so I could get through my work with less pain.I’ve tried all types of hand creams, salves, ointments, fairy-dusts…….nothing even came close to helping.A physician recommended this hand cream to me and OMG does it work! It really, really, really improves the quality of my skin and I seldom get cracked fingertips anymore. I keep a tube by the sink, by my bed, in my van, and by my laptop. It’s been a game-changing discovery and my quality of life is sooooo much better without the pain of split fingers!It’s not at all greasy and does not impede my grip, or make surfaces messy. Has almost no aroma, and a tube lasts me a good amount of time.I can’t see myself ever not buying this and I doubt you will regret it if you make this purchase.This is the VERY BEST hand cream available and a great solution for my issue.

I have yet to find a line of moisturizers that do as good of a job as CeraVe. My dermatologist recommended them and I’ve never needed anything else. I’m plagued with dry skin especially hands and feet. My feet have never been smoother because of their SA lotion so I tried this hand cream for after I wash my hands (a lot). It’s fantastic and not greasy.

I just got this yesterday. It is not thick and creamy like a cream would be even though it is called a cream. It is thinner like lotion. It is not greasy once you rub it in, but what I don’t like is the feel when I wash my hands. As soon as I put my hands under running water, you can see the water bead up on my skin which is a protective measure, but even using hand soap my hands feel tacky sticky until I wash them a couple times and then dry them good. It has helped reduce the inflammatory redness, but I still have dry cracked hands and cuticles. I’ll give it some more time and see what happens, but because of the tacky feeling in water, I don’t think I’d buy it again.
